Anglepoise - Giant Floor Light
The Giant 1227 was originally commissioned for the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre to be part of an oversized set of his writing den: it is three times the size of the Original 1227 from 1934! Three lamps were made; one for the museum, one was auctioned to raise money for the museum writing fund and was purchased by film director Tim Burton. The last one was exhibited at 100%Design London and went down so well that we decided to put it into production.The Giant 1227 is three times the size of the standard lamp. It has an aluminium base with castors for easy positioning, and comes supplied with a bulb and dimmer for controlling the light level.

Unlike a conventional aquarium hood, the Overtank Luminaire is raised clear from the top of the tank on legs, which attach securely onto the glass side walls. This range has an oval body profile, which tilts back on a rocking mechanism. It has 2 x T8 lamps and the width from front to back is 230mm. The undersurface of the unit is completely water-tight with access to the lamps by removing the upper panel. The open top allows plant growth beyond the water surface.
